Mission Statement 

Warren Central Elementary will provide all students with a goal-oriented, applicable education, which will stimulate each student to reach his/her potential for life-long learning. The faculty and staff of Warren Central Elementary accept the responsibility for providing standards-based instruction, through a well-developed and strategically-aligned curriculum for our students. This instruction will ensure the attainment of our goal to graduate productive and responsible citizens for our ever-changing society.

Curriculum will be aligned with College-and-career-ready Indiana Academic Standards, consistent with district expectations, coordinated through the grade levels, and developmentally appropriate.

Students will take responsibility for themselves and their actions.  They will show respect to other students, faculty, administrators, parents, property, community, and self.  Students will have positive attitudes and be excited about learning.  Students will demonstrate positive behavior and tolerance of individual differences modeled by staff.

The School Environment will be safe and age appropriate in all areas.  Equipment will be available to support teaching methods.  Teacher and student libraries will be well equipped and accessible. 

Assessment techniques will be aligned to College-and-career-ready Indiana Academic Standards and relevant to material taught at each grade level.  Assessments will be authentic and ongoing to monitor progress.  A variety of formats will be used to accommodate different learning styles

Parent Involvement in classrooms and school activities will be encouraged.  Teachers will make an effort to include parents and to make them feel welcome at the school.  Parents will accept responsibility in helping their children reach their highest potential 

The use of Technology to aid student learning will be expected.  Access to the computer lab, laptops, digital cameras, VCR/TV combinations, and a variety of software will be created.  Mobile Smart T.V’s will be available for use in each grade level this year. Teacher training and support for troubleshooting will be available when needed.
